Company Profile:
The Company is one of the leading providers of retirement plans and actuarial services in the Philippines, helping over 2,000 corporations in various industries all over the country. It has recently started offering Actuarial Process Outsourcing for international clients as well, serving their regional offices in Hong Kong, Japan, US and Singapore. Global actuarial firms and HR consulting firms based in New York and Hong Kong have also contracted the Company to do actuarial valuations for their clients around the world. Some of the actuarial valuations done for international clients include: FAS 158 (US GAAP) valuation, funding valuation, International Accounting Standard (IAS) No. 19 – employee benefits – valuation and actuarial studies.

I. Job Summary:

Performs a range of general accounting functions plus payroll & loans processing.

II. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares / ensures accuracy of accounting entries for various accounting transactions and maintains the books of accounts.
• Assist in preparation in budget planning for due payables, advances and reimbursement.
• Assist in handling the receivables or disbursement functions.
• Assist in coordination and implementation of accounting control procedures.
• Supervise the input and handling financial data and reports for the company’s financial system.
• Maintains confidentiality of salary package (e.g. allowances, tangible assets as issued by the company, basic pay etc.)
• Records changes affecting net wages (e.g. exemptions, insurance coverage, loan payments etc.)
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly BIR Reports, Management Financial Reports, Bank Reconciliation, Maintain Chart of Accounts and Audit
• Willing to be based in Makati City.
• Monday to Friday only.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

III. Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in any for the following: Finance, Accountancy, Banking or equivalent
• With at least 1-2 years’ experience in Accounting (though Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply).
• Honest assertive, hardworking and with good communication skills.
• Analytic and with attention to detail.
• Can work under pressure and results-oriented.
• Research and data reduction skills
• Reasoning ability, mathematical ability, and logical thinking skills
• Proficient with MS Office and Accounting Software programs
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
