The CASTOR plant is native to the Ethiopian region of tropical east Africa, but the castor bean or castor plant has become naturalized in tropical and warm temperate regions throughout the world.

CASTOR OIL is a Refined Vegetable Oil from Castor beans.

CASTOR OIL is a clear yellow oily liquid, delicate in flavor and scent.

This oil is one of the most highly unsaturated vegetable oils. It contains about 90% Ricinoleic acid and 5% Linoleic acid (Omega 6).

Folk healers all over the world have used CASTOR OIL to treat a wide variety of conditions. CASTOR OIL s Ricinoleic acid is effective in preventing the growth of numerous species of viruses, bacteria, yeasts, and molds.

It has been used successfully as a topical treatment for ringworm, skin inflammation, abrasions, fungal-infected nails and acne.

APPLICATION

• CASTOR OIL is extremely versatile; an ideal ingredient that is easily incorporated in all kinds of cosmetics from rinse-off to leave-on products.

• CASTOR OIL is highly emollient and is used to bind ingredients in cosmetic and soap formulas (bind waxes and fragrance together, as in lipsticks).


• Acts as a humectant with soothing and emollient actions.

• Recommended dosage is between 3 and 10 %.
