ITINERARY:
DAY 01 MANILA LISBON
Depart Manila via Turkish Airlines, which boasts an award winning inflight entertainment system.
DAY 02 ARRIVAL LISBON – FATIMA (D)
Upon arrival, enjoy a brief city tour that will give you a great insight into Lisbon's lifestyle, history and culture. Visit the Rossio Square, the heart of both old and new Lisbon. Learn how the old city of Lisbon was destroyed in the 18th century and then totally rebuilt to become the city of today. Continue with a visit to the Church of San Antonio de Padua. Then transfer to Fatima, the place where the Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to three simple shepherd children and asked mankind to pray for world peace. You may join the candlelight procession in the evening.
DAY 03 FATIMA – SANTAREM – FATIMA (BD)
Morning tour of Fatima's Sanctuary, center of Christian faith and a place of world pilgrimage to visit the Basilica where the tombstone of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco are, as well as the Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine. Follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Sacra (The Sacred Way) culminating in the Chapel of Calvary, which overlooks all of Fatima. In the afternoon, you will proceed to Santarem to visit the Church of the Holy Miracle. It is one of the Portugal’s most visited Pilgrimage sites. Then back to Fatima. Dinner then overnight.
DAY 04 FATIMA – SALAMANCA – AVILA (BD)
After breakfast, transfer to Salamanca for a short tour. Visit the Old Cathedral, also known as Catedral Vieja de Santa MarÃa, one of two cathedrals in Salamanca, the other being the New Cathedral of Salamanca. It was founded by Bishop Jerome of Périgord, in the 12th century and completed in Romanesque/Gothic style in the 14th century. Then onwards to Avila for a short city tour before dinner in a restaurant and checking into your hotel.
DAY 05 AVILA - MADRID (BD)
Morning transfer to Madrid. Upon arrival, your guide will show you all the different and most interesting areas of Madrid, from the city quarters that highlight the architecture of Old Madrid. Here we see the elegant squares of Oriente, Espana, Puerta del Sol, Cibeles, Parque del Retiro, Puerta de Alcala, Colon and Plaza Mayor, with its great avenues such as Gran Via and Alcala. We pass by famous attractions, such as the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, the memorial Retiro Park. Enjoy Flamenco dinner show in the evening.
DAY 06 MADRID – ZARAGOZA – LOURDES (BD)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lourdes via Zaragoza visiting our Lady of Pillar. The Basilica venerates Blessed Virgin Mary, under her title Our Lady of the Pillar praised as Mother of the Hispanic Peoples by Pope John Paul II. It is reputed to be the first church dedicated to Mary in history. Then proceed to Lourdes.
DAY 07 LOURDES (BD)
The highlight of the tour is the sanctuary; the Basilica of St Pius X, and the baths where hundreds of miraculous cures have taken place. See Boly Mill where St Bernadette was born and the "Cachot," an abandoned prison where Bernadette's impoverished family lived. You may also attend the evening procession in honor of Our Lady. The whole afternoon will be free.
DAY 08 LOURDES - PARIS (BD)
Today, you will experience to ride in a TGV train going to Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, transfer to your hotel.
DAY 09 PARIS (BD)
After breakfast, guided tour will start with view of Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre Museum, Champs-Elysées, Arch of Triumph, The Opera, Concorde Square, Vendom Square and to top it all ascend to the second level of Eiffel Tower. Seine River Cruise is also included. Finish your tour with a visit to Fragonard Museum. The rest of the afternoon is free for shopping at Galeries Lafayette where you can find luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton. Dinner.
DAY 10 PARIS – NEVERS – PARAY LE MONIAL (BD)
Breakfast inside the hotel and you will proceed to Nevers to visit St. Cyr and St. Judith Cathedral. Proceed to Paray Le Monial for another tour. The rest of the day is free. Dinner and check in.
DAY 11 PARAY LE MONIAL – TURIN (BD)
After breakfast, transfer to Turin, the capital of the Piemonte region of northwest Italy in which sports cars and chocolates are a matter of pride. The city is also home to the Museo Egizio, one of the most impressive collections of Egyptian artifacts in the world. A stroll around Piazza Castello and along the Via Roma encompasses many of the must-see sights. Valentino Park houses an 18th-century castle, botanic garden and medieval village. When you've worked up an appetite, sample casual trattorias for pastas, regional wines and coffees. Free time. Dinner.
DAY 12 TURIN – PISA – FLORENCE (BD)
Morning transfer to Florence with a short stop to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower. Proceed to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, you will have a tour, which include the visit to the Baptistery, the Paradise Gates and the Duomo of Florence where you will be enlightened by its beautiful history and miracles. The highlight of the tour will be at Palazzo Vecchio, town hall of Florence where faith and science join together with breathless revelations.
DAY 13 FLORENCE – ASSISI (BD)
Today, you will see one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in Italy… Assisi, the beloved town of St Francis. Visit the Basilica of St Francis, Santa Maria Degli Angeli and the thornless bush. Visit the Church of St Claire and see her incorrupt body. Then check in and dinner.
DAY 14 ASSISI – LANCIANO – SAN GIOVANNI (BD)
After breakfast, transfer to San Giovanni Rotondo via Lanciano. Upon arrival, visit the Sanctuary of Lady of Grace including the Shrine of Padre Pio. Then to Basilica of San Michelle and the Grotta, Then check in and dinner.
DAY 15 SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO – MONTECASSINO - ROME (BD)
After breakfast, transfer to Rome via Montecassino. Enjoy the free time in Montecassino. The beautiful Abbey of Montecassino is well worth a visit. The Abbazia di Montecassino, perched on the mountain top, is a working monastery and pilgrimage site but is open to visitors. Monte Cassino is famous as the scene of a huge battle near the end of World War II in which the abbey was completely destroyed from the bombing. Dinner & check in.
DAY 16 ROME (BD)
After breakfast, full day tour of Rome includes: Visit the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel then proceed to St Peter’s Basilica after lunch you will have sightseeing tour of Rome with guide, visiting Colosseum (no entrance), Roman Forum, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps. Then dinner
DAY 17 ROME - MANILA (B)
After breakfast, the rest of the day is free until you transfer to airport for your flight back to Manila.
DAY 18 ARRIVE – MANILA (B)
Arrive Manila from a very memorable and enjoyable trip.
