A malleable lightweight aluminum, radiolucent item covered on both sides with foam. It is designed for immobilization of the upper/lower injured extremities. May be cut to size. For items with intravenous hook-ups, see SPLINT, UTILITY PURPOSE. Excludes SPLINT, UTILITY.
-The splint may be used in a simple "V" shape
-By bending it to a "U" shape, you're strengthening splint
-The splint can then be applied to the wrist, foreman, upper arm, lower leg, or ankle
-To hold the splint in place, use either tape, velcro, or an ace bandage
-The splint can be folded back onto itself for additional strength
-When splinting neck, small bends will add strength to splint
-The splint is radiolucent which enables limbs to be x-rayed without removal of the splint
-the splint can be cut to size & shape with an ordinary pair of scissors
