HIGHLIGHTS:

USES:
Intended for disinfectants, sanitizers, fungicides, bactericides and algaecides for pools, spas, hot tubs & water treatment
HANDLING & STORAGE:
Corrosive and hygroscopic (readily absorbs moisture)
Keep in tightly sealed containers
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
HAZARDS:
May intensify fire (oxidizer)
Corrosive
Harmful if inhaled / ingested.
Can cause irritation and chemical burns (in severe cases) upon skin contact.
Can cause serious eye irritation.
HOW TO USE:
1. Test your pool for free chlorine and total chlorine with a testing kit to see how much Calcium Hypochlorite you need to add.
2. Dissolve completely Calcium Hypochlorite in a bucket of water
3. Pour mixture slowly and evenly while walking around your pool.
TIPS:
Better to ‘shock’ your pool at dusk, to avoid chlorine depletion by sunlight
Wait at least 8 hours before using the pool, to avoid skin and eye irritation.
FIRST-AID MEASURES:
INHALATION: Move victim into fresh air. Give artificial respiration, if breathing has stopped. For difficulty in breathing, give oxygen. Seek medical attention if discomfort continues.
SKIN CONTACT: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
EYE CONTACT: Hold eyelids apart and flush immediately with water for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical attention if discomfort continues.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Allow victim to was his mouth and immediately give large amounts of water. If vomiting occurs, lean victim forward to prevent breathing in vomitus. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person. Seek medical attention if discomfort continues.
