Experience Grand Cayman's top family attraction, Stingray City, on a 1.5-hour tour by glass-bottom boat. Stingray City is a natural home to a fleet of curious stingrays, who swim carefree around the sandbar, coming up for hugs and kisses from those standing in the shallow water. It's an unforgettable experience that your family will love. You'll also visit a coral reef for snorkeling.
Your glass-bottom boat tour departs from Rum Point on the northern tip of Grand Cayman. After boarding, it's just a 15-minute cruise out to Stingray City, a series of sandbars where wild stingrays gather in the shallow waters of the North Sound. During the ride, stay hydrated with provided water and watch for fish and other marine life through the boat's clear glass viewing area.
When your boat stops, jump into the warm water, which is about waist- to chest-high, to interact with the friendly stingrays — you can touch them and swim with them, or even go in for a stingray kiss, which local legend says brings you seven years of good luck!
If you don't want to get wet, you may stay on the boat, enjoying the shade and watching your family in the water.
After Stingray City, head to a coral reef for some easy shallow snorkeling. With the provided snorkeling gear, check out the beautiful coral and brightly colored fish.
Your guide will be there to make sure you enjoy a fun and safe experience. When your snorkeling time is up, head back to the marina, where your tour ends.
