It is also prescribed to treat women with an ovarian disorder or whose bodies produce an insufficient amount of the hormone. Progynon Depot can also be prescribed to both men and women for the treatment of certain types of cancer.
Esradiol is manufactured by several pharmaceutical companies and is available in the form of tablets, ******l cream, injections, ******l tabs, and skin patches. Progynon Depot is manufactured by Indian pharmaceutical company Cadila Healthcare in 10 mg/1 ml ampoules for injections.
Warnings and Precautions
While using Progynon Depot it is important that you follow all of your doctor's instruction. Do not exceed the dosage prescribed and take the medication for the entire time prescribed by your doctor. You may experience symptom relief before the prescription is complete, continue taking the medication anyway.

Prolonged use of Progynon Depot can increase the risk of developing uterine, ovarian and breast cancer. Your doctor will likely require frequent physical exams and mammograms as a precautionary measure. It is important to do monthly self breast exams. Your doctor will monitor your levels of estrogen and your condition every three to six months.
Your doctor may also prescribe progestin while taking Progynon Depot. Progestin is used to decrease the risk of developing uterine cancer.
