PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

ALGAECIDE is a specially formulated compound designed to prevent and control slime formation, growth of algae, bacteria and other foul-odor producing microorganisms in cooling towers, swimming pools, evaporative condensers and other water circulating systems. Also acts as sanitizer and germicide.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
For Cooling Towers: Remove old algae and slime manually or mechanically and clean the system thoroughly, taking care not to clog the system. Screens may be placed at strategic positions to prevent clogging. Drain the water from the system. While refilling the catch basin with fresh water, add ALGAECIDE initially at a concentration ratio of 1 to 2 part of ALGAECIDE for every 1,000 parts of water (1,000 to 2,000 ppm). Subsequent treatment may be maintained at a ratio of 1:10,000 or may vary depending on the quantity and quality of make-up water. The Cooling System should be drained and cleaned periodically to remove residual slime and dead algae.
For Swimming Pools: For algae control as well as sanitizer for pools, a treatment of 2 to 3 parts of ALGAECIDE for every 10,000 parts of water or residual of 1 ppm should be maintained. Water for recirculation in pools should be filtered to ensure clean and safe water.
